not ready for publication yet, this is all written down in a rush and needs some more polishing before getting announced on debian-devel-announce

Sep 26 2021 until Oct 1 2021.

Debian people meet again in Hamburg. The exact format is less clear than previous years, probably we will just be hacking from Monday to Wednesday, have talks on Thursday and a day trip on Friday.

For location and how to get there cf. DebianEvents/de/2019/MiniDebConfHamburg#Location

Covid things

Things are dependent on three levels:

  1. what's allowed/mandated by the state / government.
  2. what's allowed/mandated by the venue.
  3. what's allowed/mandated us.

It seems the venue currently mandates a fresh Covid19 test, whether you are vaccinated or not. The venue provides these tests (for free, paid by the city), so no need to get them elsewhere. In addition to that h01ger mandates only vaccinated (or recovered within the last 6 months) participants.

In other words: unvaccinated people (including children) are not welcome here. I'm sorry, hopefully 2022 will be better. Covid is shit and real, and I don't want your aunt or neighbor to die or get very sick because of this event.

Rooms

The venue provides 32 beds in 14 rooms. Normally a bed/night would be roughly 30€ and one would share a room with another person. Due to Covid the venue has generously agreed to the following conditions:

  • a single room is 60€ per night.
  • if you cannot afford this, you can pay 45€.
  • if you cannot afford this, you can pay 30€.
  • if you can afford this, you can pay 80€.

Of course you *can* share rooms.

Rooms are given out on a first come, first serve policy. Mail h01ger.
