this is just a draft, don't book travel yet... venue is unclear still, see below.
Basics
MiniDebCamp is some days of hacking on Debian and related stuff. No orga, no overhead, we just meet somewhere nice and interesting, and hack hack hack.
This one is taking place the three days before https://fosdem.org/2021/ at the Hackerspace Brussels (HSBXL) - or maybe not, this is too early for HSBXL (and anyone) to plan!
Details
- Announcement: TBD
Location: https://hsbxl.be/contact/ in Brussels, Belgium
the venue is not accessable (sorry!) and you really want to read the space's place to learn how to get there. Just using the address and a navigation system might prove *interesting*...
- IRC: #debconf-fosdem on irc.oftc.net
Address: Rue du la petit isle 1, 1070 Anderlecht, Brussels, Belgium [spelling on OSM: 'Rue de la Petite Île' in French, 'Klein Eilandstraat' in Dutch]
- Start: ???
- End: ???
Main website: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/be/2021/MiniDebCamp
Coordinator: holger@debian.org
- Attendance is free, but if you or your employer can contribute a modest amount towards helping making this event possible, this is awesome. The recommended daily amount is 100€; please get in contact with Holger to get a formal invoice from HSBXL.
Organisation
BYOD and do your own organisation! Everything is self organized and provided, except what the location provides (which includes network and drinks, but no food and no place to sleep and no stage for video coverage neither...) and this wiki page!
we hope this will be true, but it's not true yet: Hackerspace Brussels (HSBXL) also hosts Byteweek that week, for groups like us, see https://hsbxl.be/events/byteweek/2021/
As usual, we apply the DebConf Code of Conduct and the Debian Code of Conduct and aim to be excellent to each other!
Open tasks
- [ ] announcement mail
- [ ] a logo?
- [ ] print t-shirts? (self paid?)
- [ ] 3d print the logo at HSBXL for every attendee?
- [ ] we could do a day trip and do some sight seeing during the day! maybe on Thursday and probably someone local driving this would be a good idea too.
- [ ] signs indicating the right doors
Who will be there and "why"
Please enter yourself here if you plan to attend (mostly so that we can estimate space needs, but also that others know about other people working on $stuff).
