The 1001HA is reportedly available with Linux or Windows pre-installed, although the Windows version seems most widely available.

Wired networking requires the atl1c kernel module and wireless uses the ralink 3090 chipset. Neither of these are supported by the debian installer so either install using the standard installer with a full iso image, or use a separate supported wifi dongle.

An rt3090sta kernel module exists in 2.6.32 kernels but doesn't appear in current debian unstable kernels. Support is likely to be contained in the rt2860 module in the near future as patches for this already exist.
