Upgrade issues/tips
- if you are upgrading from an older kernel, make sure you have ethernet/wireless and acpi modules for the new kernel before rebooting. These modules get installed by our installer, but not updated if you install a newer kernel. To fix that do:
apt-get install atl2-modules-2.6-686 madwifi-eeepc-modules-2.6-686 apt-get install eeepc-acpi-modules-2.6-686
For the webcam we do not supply precompiled binary packages, so you have to build them using module-assistant. See ["DebianEeePC/HowTo/Configure"] for instructions how to do that. - linux kernel 2.6.24 doesn't need model=3stack-dig anymore, remove it from /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
- we now have ["DebianEeePC/Repository"], use it.
- we now no longer use the fragile repacked madwifi-source package, use madwifi-eeepc-source from our repository instead.
