Debian-Edu/Skolelinux 3.0 (a.k.a. Terra) is to be released on July 15th, 2007. The release includes many major changes, described in our press release and the Release Notes.

This page outlines the timetable for the upcoming release.

The current status is zero P1 bugs blocking release, documentation is not complete enough, a press-kit is in production and the release is outlined to happen Sunday 15th of July 2007 at this point. The date of release might be put off by a day or two, depending on the bug-status, documentation availability and general momentum.

2007-07-13 12:00 CEST International press-kit is sent to predefined media contacts and made available online for download by blogers et. al.

2007-07-13 14:00 CEST Selected media are called up about the release and given incentives to write about the release, directly pitches about the press-kit, etc.

2007-07-14 23:00 CEST Final deadline for documentation, test-installations

2007-07-15 00:00 CEST Upload of the final build of the 3.0 release is done to the FTP-sites

2007-07-15 12:00 CEST Release of Debian-Edu/Skolelinux 3.0 codename "Terra" is announced on relevant mailing lists, submitted to Slashdot, Digg, etc.

2007-07-16 10:00 CEST Selected media not responding on the 13th are called up and given the press-kit again.
