FAI for Debian Edu

16.00-18.00

The manual installation of Skolelinux goes like this: install the main-server with a d-i based CD/DVD, which will automatically setup an LTSP-Server, if you choose so. Then you can use the same CD/DVD to also install workstations and more LTSP-servers. Manually (but with less questions than a normal etch install. And the result is fully working.). The rough idea I had yesterday goes like this: we keep a d-i based CD (FAI-CD is not localized...), which is used to install the main-server, which has a working FAI setup. The rest of the machines is defined in the FAI configdir and installed with FAI.

Visit to the university

19.00-20:30

We're presenting a course on Debian and free software development tools, and would like to push students to work with us. Obviously it's not mandatory, but I would like volunteers to came with me (José L. Redrejo). The task is just talk a little bit with the students and say them how useful and funny is working in the free software side of the computing world. We need young blood in our free software projects
