SC/DFSG/DMUP agreement

An applicant to the "Debian Developer, uploading" or the "Debian Developer, non-uploading" must agree to uphold the Debian Social Contract and the Debian Free Software Guidelines. The Applicant will also get, if their application is accepted, a LDAP account which will allow them to log on some servers of the Debian Infrastructure. The Applicant therefore has to agree to respect the Debian Machine Usage Policies.

This is normally done through visiting https://nm.debian.org/process/XXX/sc_dmup , where XXX is the Applicant's Process number and post a signed message.

The message can be wrote in a plain text file, using one's favourite editor, and then signed using a command like cat text_file|gpg --clearsign --default-key $APPLICANT_KEY_ID.

Normally, the command to use is suggested on the Applicant's SC/DFSG/DMUP page.

After submitting this signed statement (the message along with the OpenPGP signature obtained through the recommended command) through the form on the appropriate page, this step is done.
