Debian Releases > Debian Bo
Bo is the code name for a former Stable Debian distribution. It was released on June 2nd, 1997 as Debian GNU/Linux 1.3, named for Bo Peep, the shepherdess in the Toy Story movies. This release consisted of 974 packages maintained by 200 developers. It was superseded by DebianHamm in 1998.
Bo is now obsolete and security updates aren't provided anymore.

8 Jul 1997 : Updated (1.3.1) (press release).
3 Feb 1998 : Updated (1.3.1 r.6) (press release).
24 Jul 1998 : Debian/Bo becomes old-stable. (i.e A new stable is released: Hamm).
00 000 0000 : End of security updates (i.e End of life.). The distribution is moved to archive.
