I basically created a rectangle and then another and added some gradients to it and then another layer with the text and the logo, and then I duplicated them but with black color, and a bit moved down.
Yeah, It's hard to explain how I develop an svg image, and maybe it's uncomprehensible.

Concept

I tried to made a background as minimal and soft as possible. It tries to be a high quality Wallpaper.

Process

I used Inkscape, the debian logo, found in my debian installation (inside /usr/share/icons/vendor/)

I created a rectangle Duplicated it Set some gradients Made another layer on top Added the text (with Cantarell Font, because I love it) Added the logo Duplicated and set to black to make a shadow effect (it's minimal)

That was hard to describe
