Concept
Inspired of wip3out/tdr and NeXT, I prefer a flat, non distracting background color (gray). That's great for work, photography, and what not.
Against the "modern" light, and dark modes. And their constantly distracting switching.
Process
Inkscape, GIMP, fonts that are packaged in Debian, and the experience I have from creating a theme for livecd.gnustep.org.
