Roj Theme
Author: Eshat Cakar <info AT SPAMFREE eshat DOT de>
Etymology: Roj [rɔːʒ] is kurdish and means sun{,light} or day.
Initally created as a minimal green wallpaper, I switched to this blue version, since many users mentioned, that green might be reserved by too many other distributions.
Additionally the Wallpaper now has been recreated in Inkscape, so that it is available as SVG, hence resolution independent, graphic.
(Thanks to half-left for the GPL'ed monitor template).
To give you an idea, on how the color works on the various Desktop Environments, here are some screenshots:
Being a big KDE fan (and member of the pkg-kde Team), I already have KDM and ksplash themes ready:
The wallpaper can be downloaded directly here You will also find the ksplash and KDM theme packages there.
Any feedback is appreciated (use above email address or find me on #debian-kde with nick "eshat").
Also feel free to contact me, if you want to help improving the Roj theme. Here is a list of things, that I haven't done yet:
- GRUB Theme
- Plymouth Theme (I have a nice idea for this, but I lack experience with plymouth)
- Themes for other Login Managers (SLiM, LightDM, ...)
- CD Covers
- Banner for the debian installer
- Banners to place on websites
Some of these points probably only make sense, if Roj is elected as wheezy's default Theme or if there is enough interest in an optional theme package.
