Concept

A Debian tube illuminates the many tubes around it, reminding the user of Debian's role as the universal operating system.

Note that this is a work in progress. It should be done by the submission. I just wanted to throw up my progress so far.

Process

I utilized Inkscape to make an aesthetic element inspired by old Cathode Ray Tube displays. I added SVG turbulence to the tubes and other parts of the image to give a somewhat organic look.

Note that this is a complex theme that bogs down my computer when editing. Also, the background renderer doesn't render the background gradient correctly, so bitmaps will have to be used.
