Tour D: Destination Wilderness: Jungle Walk at Thattekad (Early Morning Departure)

The Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary is a small but well-known bird sanctuary in Kerala, India. It was established in 1983 and is named after the famous ornithologist, Dr. Salim Ali. The sanctuary is home to over 250 species of birds, including the Malabar whistling-thrush, the Ceylon frogmouth, and the great hornbill. It is also a habitat for several species of butterflies and other wildlife.

On the tour, you can expect to see a variety of birds, including some that are endemic, rare or endangered. You will also learn about the different plants and trees that make up the sanctuary's ecosystem. The tour is a great way to learn about birds and enjoy the beauty of nature.
