BOINC - Server Notes

The current distribution of BOINC software in Debian has its focus on the client. There is a preliminary package also for the server side recently created, called boinc-server-maker that was just accepted for the Debian experimental distribution. However we still need individuals to test that package and further smoothen the experience with it.

From the Debian's 2010 Google Code-in (GCI) student project this the server package itself and this description

for running a BOINC server on Debian was evolving. This shall develop further towards the running of projects.

This page is intended to help organising the development of the server package, for which also your help on make whatever front is much appreciated. For a start, this page gathers rather general information about setting up BOINC servers on Debian.
