AMI Information and availability

Debian 9 and 10 AMIs for both amd64 and arm64 architectures are maintained by the Debian cloud team and are published to all publicly available Amazon EC2 regions. AMI generation is performed by FAI based on the configuration and tooling in the debian-cloud-images salsa project.

The default user name in the Debian EC2 AMIs is 'admin'. Authentication is based on ssh keys as described in the Amazon EC2 documentation.

Detailed information about the AMIs, including regional AMI IDs, is available on the bullseye (Debian 11), buster (Debian 10) and stretch (Debian 9) pages.

These AMIs are also published to the AWS Marketplace

To report issues with the EC2 AMIs, please use the Debian bug tracking system, filing bugs against the "cloud.debian.org" pseudopackage.
