A todo list for next months activities of the Publicity/Press team.
20th Debian Birthday
On August 16th, 2013 Debian will turn 20.
We may want to plan any initiatives or event with large advance, so to announce it properly and reach the wider audience possible.
party: as this year the Debian birthday will be during DebConf, the DebConf Team decided to hold a proper party possibly simultaneously with similar other parties all around the world. We'll need a press release about it at least a month before the date, to help people organize their own parties.
artwork: we may want to have a specific artwork for the anniversary, to be used on limited edition t-shirts and other merchandise. The idea is to launch a call for artwork and/or a contest and then use it as theme of the parties and for merch.
if we have a contest, who will decide on the winner(s)? maybe we can make people vote, and who received more votes wins? in this case we will need a place to host all the artwork, and a platform to vote on them. Not sure it's feasible, but we probably can ask to the debianart people --MadameZou
thank you website: do we want it again? If this is the case, we will need to style it with the (eventual) 20th bday artwork. And contact in advance the guys who worked on it last year
