• create a specific wiki page for the event you're organizing:

  • for Bug Squashin Parties please use this template

  • for conferences and similar events, please use this form

  • for Debian Day please use this template

• announce the event to the appropriate mailing list:

  • debian-events-eu@lists.debian.org for events that will take place in Europe

  • debian-events-ha@lists.debian.org for events in Hispano America

  • debian-events-na@lists.debian.org for events in North America

  • debian-events-nl@lists.debian.org for events in the Nederlands

  • debian-dug-by@lists.debian.org for events in Belarus

  • debian-dug-in@lists.debian.org for events in India

A little draft of things todo (contact the team if you want to help!):

• RSS feed for upcoming events listed at www.debian.org/events

• contact people of DUG and LocalGroups asking them to provide info if they organize a Debian-related event

• collect useful promoting materials (see, for instance: http://lists.debian.org/debian-publicity/2012/02/msg00062.html). Having someone able to do promotional videos (also for DebConf) would be great!

• find volunteer for editing the events paragraph on DPN (see http://lists.debian.org/debian-publicity/2012/01/msg00014.html)
