Kernel Oops
kerneloops is a daemon that collects kernel crash information and then submits the extracted signature to the kerneloops.org website for statistical analysis and presentation to the Linux kernel developers.
It was introduced in DebianLenny.
Installation
# apt-get install kerneloops
Your system had a kernel failure
When crash occurs, GNOME users will see a notification like:
Pressing "Yes" will automatically send the debuging information to the maintainer (as specified in submit-url in the file /etc/kerneloops.conf).
